It's mass air multiport. No dual plane nonsense, injectors in the manifold itself. TBI is all well and good, but it's not going to be as good as multiport. And really, the tuning isn't any more difficult than it would be with TBI. It's like still using a pushrod V8 (yes, I'm including the LS in this); sure, you can make it do really well, but you're never going to make it near as good as it could be w/o an OHC--but then you have to make it DOHC, and THEN you have to get variable valve timing...
