My ‘76 Z Code Cherokee

Post by maj75 »

Just picked up this Z Code ‘76. It has the original 401, Th400/QT drivetrain. It is fairly complete and the body is decent with the exception of some crappy fiberglass rear flares that look like Mr MaGoo installed them. Has been sitting for a while and unfortunately had a missing gas cap. Motor would run if you put gas in the carb. I ordered the BJs plastic tank as I doubt the original one is worth fooling with after sitting open for years. I think the interior will clean up OK. Will need seats and door panels redone but the ones I have will be good cores.

Nice! Looks like a really solid foundation.

I like the patina. Any real rust anywhere?

That patina is awesome!

Ig I don't understand the objection to the fiberglass flares, except for the dent in the front one would bother me.
