In general, i really like the sliders. The boxes themselves are still holding up well, despite being drug through many rocks. The UHMW sliders pieces? Well, they are not stout enough for the weight of an FSJ. They bow and allow the bushings to rub steel to steel in short order. I replaced them with some bearing bronze pieces and they are doing great so far. Ive got a full set of extra bronze pieces if anyone wants them.

Good to hear! I’m glad the bronze held up. How did the 44044’s hold up to the weight of the truck? Did you ever have to replace them?
I really liked the 44044's, but i wheel hard, and i bent 2 sets. Then i gave up on front leaves. Sooo, i am building a 3 link with fox remote resi 2.5x14 coilovers and fox 2x2.5 airbumps. Hoping to be done by the end of january
Well, didnt take it off any sweet jumps yet. But, it survived its maiden voyage unscathed! Tcase is out right now, replacing the front half thanks to a crack from the old driveshaft being too long.

Hey, I'm planning a 3 link front setup for my wag with 2.5 coilovers and a 2011 superduty d60 front. Was just curious...what material did you end up using for your links? Originally was gonna use 2" .25 wall, but considering the weight of a full bodied big block Wag starting to wonder if I should go up to .375 wall for my lowers.
1990 Grand Wagoneer 440 swap, 727 MVB, NP208, D44 F/R 4.10 gears ZIP locker up front Detroit out back. So much other stuff. Check out the build.

The section modulus difference of .25 vs .375 is not earth shattering. To really get much gain you need to increase the OD as well, 2-1/4 OD, .375 wall does make a significant difference over 2 OD, 1/4 wall. They can all be bent.....
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

That's what I meant, 2.25 OD .375 wall vs 2 .250 wall.
