No I dont but I can send you the instructions via Email. Presntly, I dont have a FSJ with a NP229 [NP208]. I will make a video when I get the chance on The Slab64

Hay Guys a quick question related to your NP229. My question is: does your NP229 have the Vacuum motor/2WD-4WD on the outside lever on the transfer case or the inside lever [closest to the transmission]. Every 229 case I've ever worked on/removed had the 2WD/4WD lever on the outside [driver's side] and the Hi/LO closer to the center-inside. However, recently I had a customer tell me after his Tcase rebuild that they were reversed. Is this possible-did New Process change which lever did what later in the years? Thanks for your input.

No input? Im wondering if the rebuilders got the linkages switched.. Seems that its almost impossible to shift into low range in this configuration.

These shifters are selling well--approx' 4 per month. Im stocked up for Xmas!!

The NP229 is my best seller! Currently, 100's sold.
Ill have my Long Travel FSJ suspension system up for sale by the end of the year and Ill have a Video of the installation on my '81 Cherokee showing the difference between the current Rancho springs with the Steep Arch and shackle angles compared to the new longer springs with Slider Boxes.

I ordered one a long time back, looks and feels great. I followed your instructions for install and it works great. My only concern is the throw from 2-4wd is like a 1/4”. Is this generally a very short throw on the 229 or did I more likely do something wrong with the linkages?

To me, this seems like it would be normal. The vacuum shift motor didn't have much movement length due to the diaphragm design. Maybe 3/4". Linkage arm length differences from either ends of the pivot points could shorten the throw on your end even more.

There is adjustment in the linkage length-just need to make sure the shift leaver dosent hit the floor mount frame before engaging the Tcase. To gain more throw you can move the linkage up on the shifter-towards the pivot. If its still not enough, drill another hole for the linkage closer to the center pivot. Let me know how it works out for you
