My "68 stake bed.

Post by 2many »

]My 1968 factory stake bed. Barn find. Just under 5,000 original miles when I purchased in 1993. Now has 6,400 miles. Will post more photos after cosmetics and new wood is finished. (it's been just sitting around)

Wow, that's a gorgeous truck...51 years old and only 6400 miles is absolutely incredible! How awesome!

Awesome survivor, plain jane original Gladiator : 232, no custom cab option , painted bumper
The stakes platform seems indeed original :-bd
Would you share the VIN and the motor number which should give the build date ?
How is the interior?
Sorry many questions but we don't see one like that often, BTW i have a 64, red too

Nice "rawhide" interior, It seems that we may have the same source for the redone plastic armrests, mine are white

Armrests are original. The entire interior is original. The bench seat is vinyl and is splitting from sitting too long without being taken care of. Upholstery shop will be redoing the seat this winter.

Congrats for the armrests, my 65 wagoneer is all original too, but the armrests don't look brand new like yours. The interior of my 64 Gladiator was redone by the previous owner, so the plastic armrests.
