Nice wagoneer you got there, looks like all the stainless is there, manual tailgate window is something a lot
of people here wish they had. Also the best woodie option jeep offered, not over done.

:D Hey Ikmarsh, I did not know that. My 89 GW has the manual tailgate window. I guess I'm ahead! Come to think of, it is another electrical gremling I don't have to deal with.

You dodged a big bullet with the manual window. So many have had nothing but trouble with their electric
tailgate that there is a thread for that on the mothership : http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=79865
I gave up on the original in my 69 and swapped in a later year armature, bypassed the safety switch and rewired
it for relays. Now it works.

Well, I think I’ll keep mine manual, got to fix it. When I got my wagon , it was just a big hole on the tail gate, then the seller reached into the glove box and pulled out the handle, stuck it in the hole and cranked the window down and opened the tail gate.
The key tumbler is missing and whatever it is that holds it in place.
Hopefully I will be able to find the parts to fix it.
