Gadzooks2 wrote:Thanks for all the great info guys. The "unorganized" agenda suits me just fine, the wife not so much . We'll be looking at the options for camping/hotel and scheduling. We're in CA so the haul is pretty far so we'll have to allow for a stop in Utah on the way. Might have to make it Bryce or Arches..Darn right? Fingers crossed we can pull this off this year!
Don't forget about the wheeling in moab! If I come this year I'll meet you there and guide you down some trails.

No official thread yet. Perhaps there won't be an official thread this year?? I don't know if anyone asked Dave at the KOA to hold spots for us either. I've got my reservation in. Anyone thinking they may join us at the KOA should make reservations now. Their cancellation policy is pretty good. If you do it in advance the fee is just $10.
So we reserved a room in town for Wed, Thurs, Fri nights. Hopefully everything will come together and we can finally get out on some of those Colorado trails. Look forward to meeting you all and checking out your FSJ tomfoolery!

Not so far this year. I think this year we will be taking 'unorganized' to the next level. There is a 'sign up thread' if you want to post your info. If we get enough folks providing their camp spots I will try to put a map together.
I just made reservations at the KOA. Not I just have to find a tent and a cot, not to mention drop the transmission, AGAIN, to replace the leaky clutch slave cylinder. One of these days it will warm up.
1977 Cherokee S, Ford 5.0, 5 speed, BW 1356, 33 x 10.50 BFG's. No longer my DD.
2007 Mercury Milan, 2.3L, 5-speed, now my DD. 29 mpg average.
If I am towing the jeep behind a pickup again I will bring a tent and cot for ya. If not, I might still be able to fit it in. I will keep you posted.
I am getting to the point where I will post up often how excited I am that Ouray is getting closer. Like my Jeep hobby, Ouray is one of my few 'discretional' spending's for the year. I always look forward to combining the two. It's basically my vacation for the year so I do my best to enjoy it to the fullest!
