Go for the second one. It has plenty of flow and will be a LOT quieter than the Holley Blue pump.

if mounted according to specs : no, it has silent rubber bushing on the 90 degree angle iron plate as per pict on the 74. But mounted directly on the cab, forget it. On the 85 it is mounted close to the engine because of room, see pict from above MC:




I tried to install it on the back, near the gas tank, but there was no room for an easy access or to install the plate with the rubber bushings. There is another number for this type of pump, need to check my parts number.... P4602 was listed as an RV pump, but I have been using the P4070 ($60) for many years now

Generally a relay is the best approach. Also, you might consider a 'kill' switch inside the cab. i have mine hidden and turn off the pump if I am going to leave it parked somewhere for a long time.

Flame suit on... "no relay"... and "no fuse" (for the last 16 years) that I can remember, only a in cab switch . I need to install a fuse for sure, the wiring has so many added circuits that it is a real adventure to dig under the dash.

I added the wire using the AC socket in the fuse panel, your year may not have a fuse box as the latter models have, so the in-line fuse is the best solution.

Used to prime the fuel line... very nice that after 6.month, you prime for 5 sec, then crank.... in some situations, you can disable pump to a avoid flodding

I have a Mighty Mite and on another truck a Holley Red. The Mite is noisier than the Red and both have been running more than 5 years. That $160 price is way high....

I was an early user of the carter P4070... they work fine, but then last year I found the edelbrock, encased in plastic... a lot more quiet... I installed it on the last project... but with only 1200 miles it is hard to do a review, but for the price at $55ish, I have a spare under the seat
