Small town shows up big for kiddo's birthday

Post by freehold »

Great story from the little town of Troutman, NC, which is just down the road from me.

Earlier this week, a local mom posted on Facebook that her autistic son was celebrating a birthday and dearly loved Jeeps, and she wondered if anyone stuck at home and bored with a Jeep might have interest riding by and wishing her son a happy birthday.

Well guess who showed up.

Great story about community and the Jeep community. I had to work and couldn't bring my GW down (and you'll note the old Jeeps are mostly absent) but we'll get there next time.
1987 GW, 202k miles, AMC 360 engine rebuilt 62k ago, all more or less bone stock
1997 Grand Cherokee ZJ, 244k and still going
When it rains, I drive an MDX

That's a great thing all those folks did for that young man (and his mother). Makes me smile! Thank you for posting that.
