I am in the process of restoring a 1984 Wagoneer and I need to remove the seats so I can put in the new carpet. Does anyone have any advice on how the seats are removed? Do I need to cut a hole in the floor board in order to remove? Was hoping this was not the case. Thanks
No need to cut holes. You should look at the underside of the vehicle where the bolts come through, wire brush them and apply your favorite stuck nut secrete stuff. Oil/solvent mix if you don't have or want to buy real penetrating oil.
Now that I think about it some bolts can't be reached from underneath so apply the goo from above. Better than nothing. Remove the carpet under the mounts if you can.
