Because of the jb weld?:) I didn’t know what to do with it. Do you think I’m gonna have issues with the head sealing or is that tab not a big deal?

Yeah - I was responding to the first post with the explanation. The crack is not good, but I don't know what else to do that would not require spending a bunch of money. See if it runs.

If it doesn't leak water badly, run it. I drove an AMC 360 for thousands of miles with cracks above the lower bolt bosses. Coolant boogers formed but never any other problems.

There are a couple of guys on earlycj5.com that know quite a lot about these engines and the 215s. You might post up there and see what comments you get.
