What’s the Term?

Post by 66stepside » Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:57 am

What’s the technical term for the piece that is welded to the front of the fender? Is there a tech term for it?

Its a different piece of metal, but is technically part of the fender itself. I guess you could call it a fenderlet. But I guess could also be a corner valance piece. I don't have a TSM handy to look to see what it references that as.

Thank you. There are many different terms I’ve seen/heard used- Fender Corner is another one. I was thinking there might be an actual term for it.

Thanks again.

Very cool info, thank you. Kinda interesting that there’s no separation of terms for a part that’s welded on, but separate names for bolt on pieces and parts.
