Those are all nice folks, still wishing I had a thriftside bed for my 63 here. I started loving those from the moment I saw the movie Tremor's. Speaking of here's a recent article on that. http://bangshift.com/blog/celebrity-car ... ment-24087
Got my Honcho turned around and the tires on it are tight now. I need to hook a gas can up so I can drive it home and pull the 360/4speed/NP208 for the 304/AW4/whatever I have handy for a tcase to get it mobile and start the body work (swapping doors and fenders plus the Gladiator grill)

66stepside, just so you know its your fault that after seeing the '62 that you recently bought that I had to have one too.
Lol, I take full responsibility. I'll even listen to your wife scream at me- Roflmao! I am sill undecided as to whether or not to paint it back to factory... Every day I see it and love that natural patina. Everyone should have that problem!
My old Honcho Sport side. Wish I still had it, but it's still on the road as far as I know.
My 63 J300 a few years back. In the process of putting a Townside box on it. Thriftsides look nice but you can't put much in them. The Honcho was terrible with the roll bar in it.
If you were local I'd trade boxes in a heartbeat! I pulled this one off the '77 J10 I had. The previous owner sanded the driver's side to bare metal and lost interest. Except for the flare, it's actually in pretty good shape. It'll probably end up becoming a trailer.
Here's the Honcho today (pulled the motor and front clip yesterday)
This one is also awesome !
Usually the thriftsides were bought with few options, but not yours :l according to the VIN it got the V8 327 AMC, one of the first to get one actually, since the first ones with a V8 were sold around may 1965
Seems that the V8 emblems on the fenders are gone ? interior or engine pics please
J10 81, J10 77, CJ7 80, Gladiator 64, Wagoneer 65, ZJ 5.9
parts vehicles : wagoneer 63, cherokee Golden eagle
Sorry no pictures of the interior as I have torn everything out of it to redo the interior. Yes it has the 327, four speed. I have found a 4bbl factory manifold for it with Holley carb in a bone yard and the other day I picked up a pair of NOS fenders for the bed for only $125.
