information about the Heater with the Buick 350 engine

Post by jsinajeep »

I need a little information. I have a Buick 350 in my 1970 J- truck. What I need to find out, which way does the water flow to the heater core. Does it flow from the pump to the heat core or from the Manifold to the heat core. Does someone know.

Hot water exits the engine from the manifold, either to the heater or to the radiator once the thermostat opens. The heater returns water to the suction side of the pump in the lower hose. I put a ball valve on the supply line to make summer driving a little more pleasant as I can turn the fan on at low speeds when the cowl vents don't flow much air.
