Fsj pricing

Post by Jeremy1 »

I see lots of articles about stock fs jeep pricing but not much along what a modified one would be worth. What would a 88 grand wagoneer that doesn't have much that is untouched. It has a freshened up 5.3 ls / rebuilt 4l60e and 241 tcase. Axles are f250 leaf springs in the rear with a radius arm setup in front on coilovers. All the fenders were nicely cut and finished off with flares to fit pretty new 37" tires. No wood grain and fresh paint. Interior pretty much stock and in nice shape with some lincoln front seats. New carpet.

And ideas what something this modified would be worth?

Pictures would help with pricing.

From your description, sounds like the offroad crowd or big truck guys would be most interested in it. The big dollar FSJ stuff is generally OEM or near OEM in looks. But hey, a good body/frame and a good interior go a long way.

Not that it always applies, but often the market for a stock vehicle in great condition is larger than that of a modified vehicle in the same condition. That's not to say the modified one is worth more or less, just that its market is smaller.

Photos would certainly help.

Also depends on the quality of the work. That's a lot of fabrication. I wouldn't pay more than 4 figures but it's not my cup of tea when looking for a rig. My biggest concern, again, would be the quality of the work.
