I have had a few setbacks. My milling machine demanded attention a few weeks ago after three years of complaining. It is now running better than ever. Also, my plan to form the slight roll of the body side didn’t work out well enough. I decided I need a slip roll to get the speed and consistency I wanted so off to the shop to make one. I am more than half way through with the slip roll machine.

The improving weather also has me diverted outside. I have a small field to clear before animals begin to use it. I don’t intentionally kill anything that doesn’t threaten my life.
I used to name my FSJ’s after their previous owners, I realized I had too many with five named Rick.

Dang raccoons again!

After reading through the posts I realized I actually have made progress.

The slip roll machine is done and works better than expected. It was entirely made from steel, bearings, castors and fasteners purchased from the scrap yard. It will roll bend 1/8” thick high strength steel 52” wide without issue, it’s awesome. I actually have everything tangible necessary to complete one full bedside. I am only lacking time to do it!
