It is press fit with a rubber gasket. I got mine from bjsoffroad.com - I’m sure you could probably use a window urethane of some sort if you didn’t want to get the gasket, although I’m not sure exactly what you would want to use. I’m sure someone else will chime in.
Bjs and team grand Wagoneer sell the window gasket. After failing twice Using just the rubber gasket. I took my third gasket to a glass shop which used an adhesive and the “seal”.
If you’re doing it yourself, I advise the stainless lift channel and bjs clips to make life easier as well as an adhesive!

When I did mine. I put a bead of 3M Black Super Weatherstrip adhesive down the entire run of the tailgate lifter channel. I put the rubber gasket in the channel. I ran another small bead inside the gasket. I got a couple of thick foam mats out, I got the window started in the gasket and the channel. Then I flipped it upside down on the foam mat and got a rubber mallet out. I carefully tapped down on the channel, working my way back and forth until it was fully seated. I taped it down very securely in several spots with painter's tape to hold it in place while the adhesive cured. I left it like that for a few days, just to make sure it was completely set. I am also a very big fan of the 3M Window Weld urethane.
all above comments are good advise, besides you can sand blast the window frame and primer/paint it before reinstalling the glass i found lots of rust after i removed the glass from the frame
