Wood Headliner

Post by memsiej »

Cedar T&G slats stained and attached to furring strips with brad nails. Sides are hardboard cut to fit and wrapped in black fabric, held in the plastic rail on the side and nailed to the slats with brad nailer.

How thick are the slats? Any concern about the weight causing a problem? I really like the idea.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Slats are thin, like 1/4" I think. Not concerned about the weight of it all.

That looks really nice!

How will it deal with moisture? I know I always seemed to have issues with condensation along the roof in my Cherokee. But its possible that was a result of water leaking into the cabin someplace.
