Engine Search

Post by HowardT64 »

In light of recent events, I have decided to look for a 360 that I can pull apart and rebuild. The works; paint it, do a total rebuild, then swap out my current engine when it fails and repeat the process.

Can anyone think of a place that I could pick up an old 360?

FB on their grand wagoneer or FSJ pages always has the LS fanboys unloading them for cheap. Most of them running ok when pulled. I've seen whole drivelines (360/727/229) for as little as $200

It would be a bit of a drive for ya but I have a few. Two have been torn down. One is a “runner” that still has the tranny/t-case attached.

Where are you located? I've been toying with doing a 360 swap in my MJ.

East of Colorado Springs.
You’d have to do a lot of unibody reinforcement to hold up to a V8.
