Candymancan addressed this a few days ago in the “engine knocks under load” post. I would go with the prothane mounts as many have found that the stock replacements from box stores don’t hold up well. I would also replace the transmission mount while your at it. BJ’s, Team GW and summit have the mounts.

Having gone with prothane engine and tranny mounts on my wife's 77 Wag, we noticed more drive train stiffness and noise than before. Just saying.
Ah. This was my concern.
How much worse is it?
I wonder if the way I did the mounts in my T/A (recommended by LS1tech forum) would reduce the issue some?
Prothane motor mounts with rubber trans mount.

You could use the soft rubber mounts and copy an old hot rodder trick. They would either put chain or cable across the mounts, or drill a hole through the insulator and mounts and put a bolt clear through them, left loose enough to allow vibration dampening.

I am not sure how I would gauge the difference. It is noticeable.

Just remember-dont mix Urethane and rubber. The Engine/Trans mounts should be made of all the same material/they flex at different rates.
Hmmm. I did at the advice of others on the LS1tech forum. This is on my T/A. It is done to lessen the harshness of the driveline vibration. Prothane engine mounts and rubber trans mount. 3 years, no issues.
