Rear view mirror glare

Post by dissinnick »

Okay guys this is weird. Its so weird i have to share it before tackling the logic myself.

I guess i should introduce myself and my jeeps:
1980 J10 8'
1979 Chief

In my J10... at night the rear view mirror picks up heavy glare off the rear glass, the glare is of the front view. So my rear view mirror is both looking out the back and out the front at the same time. Any ideas?

I never noticed this in my last 3 J10s. and the issue persisted across replacing back glass.(swapped slider for solid, PM if you need a slider)

I will be starting a build thread on them in a bit, ive been building for 6 months and have lots of pictures to upload.

The pitch of the rear window has to be off right? Like leaf spring sag in back?

My 77j10 does the same thing. I wonder if there is a window tint material that would help. Anyone try that?
