Replacement Starter switch...

Been browsing looking for an alternative to replacing the entire steering column. I found something ( link below ) that I think will work, BUT I may need some advice and a diagram on how to wire it up. I will be adding a locking tumbler to the system but it will be hidden in the glove box. That reminds me, I need the tumbler for the glove box keyed to my door key.

I went a similar route with my rock-crawler J10. Wiring is actually very simple.

pretty cool... I went the cheap @ss way, found the blue wire (for model 85/86) going to the solenoid and found a wire fed with ignition on and installed a push button ($5) on the plastic panel surrounding the steering column, you have to do some digging under the dash and move the AC duct...

Add a club for the steering wheel and a pit bull in the cargo area

that is the one for the 85, by the column, harder to do because you need to drill the metal dash

the 86 is easier, it is done on the plastic surround holding the vent control knobs

I was thinking of mounting this on my pverhead console....any thoughts?
