You’re missing the piece that fits in between the console and the arm rest.

I don’t have pics at the moment, but can get some when I get home unless someone can beat me to it!

This is the center console I pulled from a 1414X in Montana.

The base in between the console and the pad is pretty rare- BUT I think there might be repos on eBay.

Years ago an IFSJA member began to remake them out of metal. Perfect for a daily driver, but not for a Pebble Beach Contours de Blah blah blah event.

What is it made out of? Can you take a few more pics from different angle? Thanks

It’s probably made from some type of fiberglass, or composite material. They are prone to breaking pretty easily over time.

I can get more pics later on, I’m on the road to pick up a tb400/Dana 20 combo for the FC! There is no rest for the wicked.

If you google super wagoneer center console arm rest, I’m sure the base will pop up ( Supers aka D’s and X’s share much of the same interior as many have already noted).

I snapped some pics of the piece in-between the console and the pad tonight after unloading the transmission for the FC:

I think the IFSJA forum member who made the sturdier metal version was named “Men In Black”. he might be in here as well, but maybe not. Someone else may know more about that, so just use the search feature on the tapatalk ap and see if he’s here.

Thank you for the pictures and info. I will try and make contact with that person to see if there is a source for one. J

Great find!

jumping on this thread as I am a big fan of the custom. I'm looking for a shifter for a Custom if anyone knows where to get one! I'm converting my std wagon to a custom. I have the console and the seats, missing the AC unit for the dash and the shifter.

any leads would be a great help
