So on this new wagoneer I'm working on, has an edelbrock manifold and the pcv valve is attached on the rear of it. It has a hose on it running to the front of the manifold to a fitting just recycling it back in. Shouldn't this be plumbed differently?
Thanks jeff~
On my Wagoneer eldebrock manifold the PVC is the same as yours but the hose is connected to the front of the carb
I am running a eldebrock 1406

The PCV receives crankcase vapors from the crankcase and connects to engine vacuum, typically at the base of the carburetor. The grommet at the back of the manifold goes into the crankcase, not into the manifold. Your connections may be ok, if the fitting at the front of the manifold goes into the manifold passage. Crankcase -> PCV valve -> manifold vacuum.

As far as the PCV system goes, the outlet from the crankcase needs to be to manifold vacuum so the vapors can be burned during combustion, normally it uses one of 2 large vacuum fittings on the base of the carb (other being for power brake booster connection) but this depends on the particular make/engine/carb. Assuming it was plumbed using the provided ports and one wasn't drilled into that Edlebrock manifold the only option on the front is the port that's drilled into the runner for cylinder #2 (or 4 can't remeber) which is okay. Guess technically it would make more sense for it to be connected somewhere more central (like the carb) for better distribution but doubt it really makes much of a difference unless you have an issue causing lots of oil to come out of the PCV.
