Interior question

Post by Jguess85 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:33 am

On the 81 chief I have been going back and forth if I should paint the metal part of the bottom dash that is metal. Right now I think it has some surface rust starting to show. Have any of y’all experienced this?I’ve tried cleaning it but only uses windex. What would you guys do?

Mineral oil, marvel mystery oil or wd40 till you can paint it. I would just put some on a cotton ball or paper towel and give a thin coat. Probably look good shiny.

Just a guess I could be wrong but it’s rusting.

I have been using a small airbrush set up for detail work. inexpensive, precise and very little overspray.

I used WD-40 in and on the barrels of black powder guns... they rusted!

Good Luck.. Don S..
