I've recently overhauled and installed a Jeep junkyard York 210 compressor on my '78 Cherokee Chief 401 with all the factory brackets. I discovered a rather large pulley offset error. My internet research yielded two part #'s for replacement clutches and a discrepancy in the offsets listed in the info:
Double Groove - 47323 2.5" and 1.875"
Single Groove - 47811 2.625"
The difference seems to be between a factory and a legacy aftermarket AC install. My problem is that my offset error appears to be around 0.250" rather than the simple 0.125" difference between the two available pulleys.
Can any of you offer any insight into what and where the differences might be and additionally how to rectify them?
