I thought it was aliens?

Last year it was some drunk on a SxS looking for his U-joint.
Yeah he thought one of us had lost it hours before and somehow didn't notice.

Looks like the wife wont make it for the whole weekend ( she has to take care of her mom)

What do we need food wise?

I thought he was looking for his dog, which was actually following him. That guy had no business operating a motor vehicle and certainly should not have been driving through people camps.
He was looking for his dog, but I do remember something about a U-joint. Oh well, good times. :)

I was going to do the cheesy potatoes or my stuffing but what do we need food wise?
Tomorrow we may face destiny, we may fight and die and fall to the fires of perdition, but tonight is ours, and we drink and make merry.

It was a dog he was looking for, u-joint was the only other word he could say coherently (that might be too generous).
We got this, let’s camp, let’s wheel if you want.
We are also legal now, smoke it if you got it.

Early weather forecast is upper 70's with a low around 55. Pretty much perfect.

Mike -- Are you binging your buddy's propane infrared cooker again? Or do we need to come up with another alternative?

I picked it up form him yesterday. Hopefully I won't have any issues finding a Turkey. I plan on picking up the bird Thursday night, I am going to try to find a fresh one.

One and all FSJ'ers....
Kristen, Cayden, Ryan and I are super sad to be missing this year. We have an all-day football tournament for Ryan on Saturday starting at 9 am. We sure will miss the food, but more importantly miss catching up with all our friends. You all be safe out there. Happy Thanksgiving all!

Change of plans for me. I plan to come down Friday with just my son to wheel Elvis then go home and come back Saturday with my wife and kids for the meal
So my question is when and where should i meet up with everyone on Friday?

I don’t have a definitive answer for that but Mike and I have been chatting pretty frequently about this.
He will more than likely have to head out to the camp site to drop off a camper, I will definitely have to go out and drop my trailer and I’ll also escort some new folks out to camp that want to run Elvis at the same time.

Based on our conversations I think we both feel that if we hit Price and Sandman by noon we will be doing pretty well time wise.
We have also discussed being flexible based on time and trail traffic to jump off Elvis early if things are going too slow.

As far as a meeting place prior to the trail the McDonalds has always worked well.
I will update this if I learn more from Mike before then.
And I am by no means in charge of anything other than cooking chorizo blue cheese burgers Friday night.

I am going to try to meet up with Derek pretty early, 8am or so. Pat offered to let us use his place as a drop off point so if we are running a bit late we will do that. If we are running early we will head out to camp first. Around noonish is a good target for Price/Sandman with an 11:30ish time frame at the McDonalds. We'll use the Elvis thread to try to keep folks posted on what is happening tomorrow.
