EFI Data recording?

Post by 66stepside »

So a buddy of mine has an aftermarket EFI set up on his CJ7. He’s been building jeeps a long time and I’ve posted pics of some of his jeeps on the “other jeeps” thread.

His CJ is running like crap and he can’t figure it out.

He’s recovering from pancreatic cancer and doesn’t have the dexterity he used to, and I have no knowledge of sourcing info about the program he was told by the EFI seller.

The program is WinALDL.

I’ve tried to get YouTube certified and scour forms, but I’m a bit baffled.

Is there an app, software, a computer program to buy? Freeware?

Does anyone know anything about an auto program called WinALDL ?

I moved this to the EFI forum, as it fits better there, even if it is a CJ, there is no real difference from this perspective.

What engine and EFI does he have?

Thanks for moving it to the right place.

401, Ford t18, Dana 20.

The EFI set up is through Affordable EFI. I’m working on getting more information.

Ok, has it been tuned? A stock GM tune on a 401 is going to be really unhappy.

Bill (Bill usn-1) would be a great guy to contact, although its not his kit, he may have tunes that he will sell if thats the issue. He has not been on here for a while, but I believe is mostly on binder planet. He is pretty much the GM TBI wizard.

Those are good questions.

It has been tuned for the 401 as per what AEFI claims.

They want data on the above mentioned software system to recalibrate the tune, but the issue with appears to be the lack of info regarding the software.

Ahh, in that case you can download it from here: http://winaldl.joby.se

Its free, but the maker accepts donations if it helps you out.

You will need a laptop with a cable to plug in.
