I did not phrase my inquiry too well. I was wondering was panel material was better to cover. Masonite or ABS

ABS would last a lifetime where as Masonite would still be subject to rain/wet issues. You’d have to research what adhesives work best for either depending on the material and type of backing on the vinyl you choose.

They both cover the same, but like tedlovesjeeps71 said. "ABS would last a lifetime where as Masonite would still be subject to rain/wet issues" Also when you drill into Masonite with a regular drill you get blowout. You have to use a Forstner drill and LOTS of dust when you use a router wear a mask. Get some 3M 90 spray adhesive works great. Home depot has it.

MIB do you have more pictures to post of these panels? The old ones in your first post are no longer working and I'd like to see these.

Id like to possibly buy a set of door and headliner panels for my 1970 Gladiator.

Thanks for the information. The BBCode works but you have to delete half of it to get what you need.

men in black, your door panels are straight, right? What would be the best way to make them follow a slight bend (near top of panel) in GW/Cherokee doors? Gently warm up with heat gun and bend maybe?

Here is a bend I'm talking about:
