Pre 1980 J20 front axle
Looking for an 8 lug dana 44 front axle with disc brakes and passenger side drop. Ideally it has the 4.09 ratio but want to hear about what you have. I am in Kansas City. Willing to drive a few hundred miles or potentially ship.

To help you in your search, GM D44 HD's are very similar, and much more common. Only big difference is the spring mounts, which can be changed easily if you are wanting spring under like the Jeep axle.

Also, you can swap 8 lug hubs onto a D44 with 6/5 lug hubs. So, any 65" D44 will work.

Thanks for the help guys! I knew it would be easy to do SOA with chevy dana 44 but wasn't sure about SUA. Guess I would just have to do some measuring and figure out how much and where to grind on the cast section to get the spring mounts in. I did a d44 chevy on a cj7 when I was a kid by outboarding the springs on the frame but trying to keep the stock setup so far on the wag.
I need the full size width to fill out the fenders. Going for low lift and 35's or 37s at most
I was hoping to to find an axle to bolt in. Got enough going on with the Hemi drivetrain swap and and M715 fenders. May have to go with your suggestion. What's a few more hours in the garage right...
