What is this thing?

Post by Autonomous »

Hello all...

I gotta get rid of this old Jeep. I’m not a Jeep expert but you all are. What is it? I can’t find VIN info on it and I’m not sure where to start. I need to sell it as it sits so any info or guidance is appreciated.

Thank you,

It looks like a CJ2a. Looks like the data plates under the hood are missing, or maybe painted over and cannot see them in the photo. Should be on the passenger side firewall.

There should also be a VIN on the frame, behind the rear bumper on the driver side.

Tub and dash look m38. Windshield doesn't agree though.

It's an old 40's willys jeep with mismatched parts.
Just a few jeeps ranging from '41 to '18.

Apparently, if you post it on FB or CL and put a photo like this one as your first image, and make some lame comment about how yours "could" look like this with some work.. you can ask $10,000+ for it..
(this is our 1950 CJ3...and no, I don't give permission to reuse the photo..8^)

One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.
