Sending PM's

I cannot seem to send out any p.m. from my puter

I click on the person's name I want to pm and then type my message...

I enter a subject

I hit send and I get a horizontal bar saying that person does not exist..

What am I missing here..

What user was it? If the user is a "new user" they cannot use private messages.

If you can, try sending me one, just to make sure there is not some other issue.

I think it is my fault..Must be not doing one of the required steps..

I dod not get that red horizontal box like I did when I tried sending to jaber...

When you typed in my name, did you push the add button so that it added me to the line above?

Yes I did.....I added "jaber" as well earlier

Then the only thing I can think of is the names are being entered in wrong or something. What happens if you mouse over my username here and hit "Private Message" and send one then?

BTW...On April 1st I sent a PM to jeepthing360 and it worked fine for me...

That was a '91 Honda that fell during the Duvall quake while I was under (Jan '95) The Allison trans that fell on me and pierced my leg was from a Semi back in 1978.

I just got the pm thing he was talking about, I moused over the intended targets name in a thread, clicked on the send pm, typed my message, but when I hit send I got the red bar with the member doesn't exist message.

So I went to said member's profile page, clicked send pm, typed my message and it worked.

I am using chrome, so I don't think it is a browser issue. Just trying to help you narrow it down.
