Search feature for numbers with decimal?

I tried searching for threads related to 6.2l diesel and the search feature drops the "." and ends up ignoring the number. I changed my search for "6.2l" diesel and the number is pretty much ignored. Any idea how to use the numbers as part of the search?

I know a lotta forum software will ignore short number strings but would hope that you could get it to respect anything in quotes.

Try "6.2L diesel" Edit: Nope. Quotes don't work
