The armrests and inner door handles are from "Big Al's " in San Andreas, Ca. they make doodads for the hot rod builders.

More reliability, Cheaper parts. More HP. I changed my 79 chiefs to an 89 Chevy TBI with a GM Th 400. Np 205 twin-stick transfer case, And a dana 44 out of an 84 wagoner. :fsj:

At upholstery shop, sub base/amp/AR15 compartment box is done and being covered, door panels looking good, wrap around the back glass made it so we had to reduce the OD of the window with belt sander still took two hours to install, shooting for Good Guys All American end of month hopefully done in time!

Nice job, I can see what’s in my future, when I get going on my 66 Gladiator.

Thanks Everybody, been an adventure! time spent on details boggles my mind, like the rear glass, it is a piece of tinted glass using old window as a pattern but didn't fit right so had to trim it with a belt sander, installed it and decided we need to reverse the gasket so lock seam didn't show on the outside and at the same time install trim around inside of rear window opening- basically vinyl wrapped over body seam which you won't think would change the ID that much, so much for thinking, after several attempts and damage to interior panels finally had to grind down window OD again and it popped right in!

Did you happen to take any photos of the back of your rear side panels? That is a really nice looking set up and great use of dead space!
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Yep drove it to work yesterday, making sure everything is working right, supposed to go to Good Guys at the end of month but the wuhan virus might kill that, scheduled to be in doors with the show cars.
My favorite mod is the LM7 compared to the AMC 360 which I built 20 years ago with a mild cam and TBI it's light years better starts immediately, smooth idle, and will do a burn out with ease, and is smog legal!
Other mod is the brakes, Hydroboost and 4 wheel disc's will put you thru the windshield.
Don't know if the one piece door glass was worth the hassle but is a big deal too many. Cheers
