1966 J-2000

Post by Opienator »

Hey everyone. I am new to the forum. I have a 1966 J-2000 with a 232 in it that hasn't been ran in 30 years. It's in rough condition but I have hopes of resurrecting it someday soon. I also have a chance at a 70's J-10 with a AMC 360 in it that I had thought about buying to use for parts. The J10 is in better shape but the J2000 has been in the family for many years and my dad always hoped to fix it up. He passed away recently and I want to fix it up. How much of the J10 would be interchangeable as far as the body? I was gonna post a pic but says too large

J10's had quite a few changes from 60's Gladiators. Mostly in the drive train area. But, a lot of things can still be made to work. So it is still possible to mix the two together. However, if both are short beds, they will have different wheelbases and the beds wont swap. But the cabs are very similar with only minor differences. The front body work is pretty similar. If the '66 has a Rhino grill, the front valance and hood are different, but they can still be swapped.

For your image, I have a size limitation so people don't upload gigantic photos. If you shrink it down some in paint or the like, then you can upload it.
