post mount add-a-leafs

Post by Austin4x4 »

i have been having trouble finding add-a-leafs for early 2" wide springs. leaf's have been added in the rear of my truck, so i am just looking to level it out. i found this set for a scout, looks like they will work. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tra-f5521 any other thoughts?

You should be able to use add-a-leafs for a CJ or Willys Truck/Wagon. The springs are very close in size. Although CJ springs have a bit more arch, so you may end up with a bit more lift, or the extra weight may balance it out.

I dont think the leafs from a Willys would be wide enough. They are not as wide as my CJ springs. Image

Willys don't use 2" springs? Hmm, could have sworn they did. I know CJ's do though.

The cool thing about the post style rears is you can just flip the shackle for a lift, but you have to add angle shims to keep your driveshaft angle correct unless you always have a load (like I did with my '73 J4000)

Both of mine are the early '50s, so I cant say for the later versions.
