I bought a 10 and 14 bolt set that came from a late 70s K20 chevy and am in the process of installing them under my 77 Cherokee. I am planning on going with a high steer setup on the ten bolt. The stock ten bolt knuckles are not flat top but the stock dana knuckles appear to be flat top knuckle. Are the 10 bolt and dana 44 knuckles interchangeable? Would have to pull the 10 bolt knuckles off to have them machined flat drilled and tapped for the high steer arms so it wouldn't be much more work to send the 44 knuckles in and just have them drilled and tapped. Thanks for any advice!
Driver side 10-bolt should be flat top and already drilled and tapped with the GM steering arm on there.
If your D44 passenger side is a flat top it will replace the 10-bolt directly with no issues. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/flatop_knucles.html

Cool! Was fairly confident they were the same but I wanted to hear it from someone smarter than I am. 10 bolt is installed rear axles and springs are out and hopefully will see your rear shackle flip today to get the rear end leveled out. Thanks a bunch!
I show it in Lincoln, NE as of 4:28am Tucson time.

I think the tie rod taper is the opposite and different size. Plus, some 10 bolts had 28 spline axles not 30's. These are small items that can be fixed but I didn't want your to be surprised.

It is different (the tie rod direction and spline count) but that will not effect the OP since he is using the 10-bolt, the knuckles mount up fine and the OP going hi-steer.
If he was going cross-over, that presents a problem.
