new to me headers!!!

Post by lil jeep mec »

picked em up for free... I traded a Dodge 1st gen Cummins 4x4 VVS for them... 5 hours of work and there ready to be sealed up.
now I'm planning on getting a 670 or 770 truck avenger from a friend, voodoo 234/242 cam and lifter set, Edelbrock intake and throwing these on it... should be a good day once I get all the parts I'm thinking... (finally vacuum secondary's... I wish my q-jet was working right now:/)

You traded a whole truck for a set of headers??

Don't go with a 770 truck avenger. Unless you have a healthy 460 or 454. Even a 670 is on the big side for a 360 or 401. But once jetting down it works well.

Do you know what they came off of? Looks like CJ headers.

They are cj headers, I think ill havd to bend them a little bit but not too big of a deal. I traded a part for the speedometer that hooks to the transfer case, its a $40-60 part

I have a set just like them that were free. I'll be interested in what you have to do to make them fit...

It will be more bending than a little bit. I believe the CJ style go out through the fender well and not straight down like the SJ headers.

Yes, my CJ has them. They go over the frame and then turn down...
I can get you pics if needed, just not sure it will help.
