Has anyone used the fat bobs garage add a leaf kit? I’ve used their stuff I’m the past with an XJ and thought it was ok. I want to do a budget lift on my wagoneer to fit some very well priced 30” tires until I can afford a BDS kit.
There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.
This was the '88 with the 31"s on it. It may have been after we put the 2" lift blocks in the back, but my uncle ran it for years as a DD with the 31"s and a stock suspension. Also it had some pretty bad Wag sag by the time we added the blocks, so the springs weren't holding it up where they were supposed to.
Now, if you want to do an add-a-leaf anyway, because you want it leveled out and/or the extra carrying capacity, I can understand that--but for 30" tires you don't need it. Or if you want 2" lift blocks for the back I've got a set I'm not gonna use...
Even with my 225s though (ok now they're pretty worn, but when they were fairly new), it'll go pretty much wherever I point it, and if the body clears (and sometimes even if it doesn't...snow banks 3' deep aren't really a problem), it'll go there...I don't even have a limited slip or a locker yet.

Thanks for the input everyone, I’m honestly just looking more for the proportions/balanced look of tire and clearance. I dig the low CG/big tire for my old xj rock rigs I’ve had but this will barely see more than a dirt trail.
I may just stuff the 30s and find a little larger shackle and a 2” rear block (where the sag is)
