Aftermarket AC

Post by Grand_Wag_85 »

Thinking about adding AC into my AC delete J10 but I don't want something that's going to take up the entire under side of the dash like the stock units. It would be cool if I could make use of the blank spaces on my dash that are the clock and ashtray holes. I remember somebody doing this in the past with a Vintageair system and ac vents from a Ford(?). Anybody remember that build and if it worked?

Putting in the stock A/C is probably your best bet. Why hassle with re-inventing and trying to solve a problem that has already been solved?

You know me I like to take the road less traveled. :D It gets downright sweltering with the all black interior, looks cool tho. In DFW I got stuck in a gridlock 4 hour traffic jam and the outside temp was over 100*F. When I finally hit the Arkansas state line I don't think I've ever been happier to see rain LOL!

Not too much room up under my dash but up inside there is TONS of dead space.

I'm modifying and installing the A/C-Heat from a 70's GM pickup truck. It isn't easy, but it's not too crazy either.
