CHevy NV3500 to AMC NP208

Post by Eagle5 »

The clocking is different between chevy and AMC/Jeep transfer cases. Is there a clockring or some way to make it work?

Yep there’s probably 2 dozen makers if clocking rings on Amazon and eBay, of those advance adapters and Novak will be there as well

Also, the Chevy output spline count is different than the Jeep NP208. 27 vs 23 I think

What did the transmission come out of? There are two versions of the Chevy NV3500. One has a 27 spline output (S10 trucks/blazers) and the other has a 32 spline output (full size trucks). If you really want to use this transmission, you are better off finding a GM driverside drop transfer case to go behind it.

Though personally, I would look for a Jeep NV3550, then the 208 will just bolt up. And a Jeep NV3550 will also bolt up to to an AMC i6 or V8.
