Getting some lift! Finally...

Post by woodsboy00 »

Alright guys, finally getting some lift. Guy had some springs laying around he was not using so I'm picking em up for $150 bucks!

OK, the rear springs are complete and un touched. The front springs were originally 5 leaves but he pulled 2 leaves from the each pack to put into his Xj's spring pack to give it lift. My question is would it be able to add some leaves back to these and get the front left springs back to a useable lift spring pack?

Up for donor packs are:
1. 70s stock wagoneer springs (front and back)
2. Stock '76 Cherokee Chief Springs (front and back)
3. Stock '79 Cherokee Chief springs. (Front and back)

That photo is of the stock WAG springs.

I will get some more photos tonight and hopefully somebody can help me.

These springs are going into a '76 Cherokee Chief. :fsj:

The guy didn't know what he had. He let me take the 6" springs for $150 (he needed lift coils for his XJ), gonna pull the drop Pitnam arm for me and let me have it, and gonna let me scavenge his parts wag for anything I can use. Found a steal! Just need some extended brake lines and shocks now!

I did the same thing not that long ago. I got a 4" kit for around 100 bucks. They junk yard had no clue what they had. I got chevy brake lines. They are plenty long for a 6" kit. I'm gonna have to tye them up. Got mine at oreillys for around $20

Yea, I can't beleive the deal I got! Hopefully be less than $400 into a 6" lift. Thats sweet when you realize those retail for over $1k. Hey, were those chevy brakelines for a d44 axle?
