Currently running this one on my 327.

The carb I am running is a QFT Slayer Series (Holley 4160 pattern), but the pattern should be the same as your Edelbrock.

wondering if you have checked fuel pressure? if the electric pump pressure is too much for the needle and seat could flood the engine OK when cold (somewhat like a choke) but when hot engine doesn't need a rich mixture and would be flooded with fuel and hard to start and you would have to rev the engine to blow out excess fuel.
