Im not sure how much lower it sits than the factory bumper. I do know the way I am installing it it sits about 2 inches higher or closer to the tail gate.
The ends and the middle. I wanted it up higher than the factory one sits.
Who asked you?AccrateDelivery wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 7:33 am Being more of a 'traditionalist' on these vehicles ... not a fan of that swap. Takes away from the spirit of these trucks IMHO.
Sorry.
I think YOU asked us. lolTnsser wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 1:46 pm Since finding a used rear bumper is pretty much like finding a unicorn I started looking at other options. This is a super cheap build(all mine are) so I found this bumper for 75 bucks. I've cut and trimmed it to fit. I'm figuring out the mounting brackets now. Looking for opinions on how it looks. I'm interested in what others think. It looks pretty good to me. 20211221_150333.jpg20211221_150347.jpg
I guess you failed to read my entire response. The "Who asked you" was followed by "Just kidding lol ". No one has a sense of humor theses days or they just lack reading comprehension. Don't know which is the case for you. Yes its rough and yes it's going to be a "cheap build" because I do all my own work. Replacing panels and body work. It will all be done correctly. Kind of like the Cherokee seats and console I installed. Got then for 50 bucks. Have power and heat too. But thanks for the unnecessary knock on my 1400 dollar project.AccrateDelivery wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:58 amI think YOU asked us. lolTnsser wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 1:46 pm Since finding a used rear bumper is pretty much like finding a unicorn I started looking at other options. I think to answer your question ... it looks too '1998 clamped onto a 70's classic' in my opinion, but hey, that's just my answer to YOUR inquiry.
YOU asked for "how it looks?" and "what you think?" ... and BOOM ... da it is.
It's a rough looking truck, on a "cheap build" so it shouldn't matter.
Hey ... here's compliment for your ego. It actually looks good. Seriously.Tnsser wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:47 amI guess you failed to read my entire response. Not looking for a compliment just explaining that I was joking. I never wanted everyone to like the idea. I know thats impossible. Just trying to establish some feedback on this forum.AccrateDelivery wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:02 pmHey ... here's compliment for your ego. It actually looks good. I'd give you 1500 for it right now.
lol
Wanted to clarify my response above. I offered an honest opinion on what that bumper looked like on that truck. I thought the original poster had asked for "opinions and input". I gave mine, and the reason for it.AccrateDelivery wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 7:33 am Being more of a 'traditionalist' on these vehicles ... not a fan of that swap.
