Swing out Bumpers

Post by wyocherokee »

I'm looking at the Crawler and the Cliffhanger on BJ's. Any major difference between the two to justify the extra $500? one looks like it fits the body lines better and one the review says there is no mounting holes or anything and you have to mount your own?

Depends on the look your going for. The cliffhanger is more old school while the crawler is a more modern design. The crawler looks like rectangular tubing cut down to shape/size. Less cutting/welding/time involved in building it. The cliffhanger looks like steel plate cut in to shapes/sizes then welded together. More cutting/welding/time involves in it. That’s my take anyway. Boils down to what look you want. Personally I like the winch inside the bumper. Keeps it out of the grill and doesn’t block airflow to the radiator.
