I did a search but couldn’t find anything. I’m wondering if anyone has swapped in 90’s power seats from Grand Wagoneer to a pre-‘80 Chief? If so, how is the fit? How about wiring it? And finally back seat access?
The power seat frame will accept later Dodge Dakota seats ...the ones from the extended cab fold forward. the foto is a Dakota seat after stripping the original, I cut off the taller portion to make it look more like a factory seat and it is shown with new foam (rough cut) The rear seat here is Dakota also. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AudgefCmPTt7hQk_z2cKnY5c7rwt
I do have original seats/brackets. Trying to make this my daily with as much luxury as possible and want an upgrade to the seats and I like the later model Grand Waggy seats with power. I’m also wondering what I need to wire it up. I guess I need to look at a wiring diagram
otherwise, yes, I swapped mid 80's seat in the 74 wag... Hooked up a feed from the cigarette lighter for the initial adjustment of the seat position. And installed the 74 bench into a 78...

You'll need a fused 12 V line to the seat wiring Properly sized to match the heaviest hot wire in the seat harness. The Cherokee seats will bolt directly to the power seat chassis, But you may need to remove the side skirt from the power seat that holds the control panel (joystick) and mount it onto the Cherokee seat......you cannot easily use GW non flip seats and still access the rear.

Yeah, I thought that might be an issue. I was kicking around the idea of putting a hinge on the front of the seat bracket.
This would present a safety issue , in my opinion....possibly fab up a latch to keep the seat from flipping in the event of a rear ender!
