1969 with d27 steering

So I have a 69 with the dana 27 closed knuckle axle soa swap done the steering is shot everything is loose was wondering if I could use a steering upgrade kit from like a xj with a dana 30 ? Or what would you all recommend can't find any parts locally

An XJ setup won’t work, as it’s an entirely different system, and your axle is quite a bit wider.

As I recall the D27 and D30 (70-73 Wagoneer) use the same small TRE size. Although I don’t have a parts book handy to verify that. But I know 74+ use the much larger TREs.

A quick search shows that Napa has the long side that they claim fits.

But with an SOA, I assume you have larger tires. So it may be time to swap in a later D44.
