My Cherokee is all disassembled and for paint and body. In pulling of the trims and rubber I got thinking about the fuel trim ring. Anybody do anything different here or find something that they liked in lieu of the original thin plastic ring?

I welded the metal cup to the fender and got rid of the plastic piece.

So, I've got beautiful paint- I'll show it when everything gets put back together. I could not put that plastic POS trim ring back on. This is what i came up with.
heres how it fits against the body

Much better but how are you going to remember not to use leaded fuel?

scrumptious, any other choices such as locking cap or quick release cap for those of us ready to do a little welding... A few years ago somebody retrofitted a quick release off a ferd e$cort or close to that
