Anyone running a 17x8 wheel with 4"BS?

Post by Billybob535 »

Anyone here running a 17x8 wheel with 4" backspace on a narrow track axle? I am looking at a set that fits my needs but I want to be sure they fit before I drop $500. I am specifically concerned with the backspacing. I will be running a 10.5" wide tires so that part is not an issue. I am not looking for recommendations or experiences with other size wheels. Thanks

These are the ones I am looking at:

Part of the issue with using backspacing is that its not a very good indicator of if it will hit. Wheel style matters a lot as well.

Good thing about steel wheels is they don't have a thick outer ring around the rim like allow wheels do. I am inclined to think these will fit, and will clear the TRE's for the tie rod. Most people go with 15" wheels, and they are proven to fit. They have 3.75" BS in this same style.

More BS will make it easier for the wheel to contact the front springs when turning. But several people here do run 17's.
