Aftermarket add on gauge mounting options?

Post by bigwalton »

I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up and is mounted in a single metal aftermarket bracket below and to the right of the column, I want to do a tranny temp gauge when I add an external tranny cooler, and I want to add a tach.

Seen tachs on the column, I'll do the voltmeter swap in the cluster, but where are people mounting their other external gauges? Doesn't look like two of the small gauges will fit where I have the single oil pressure gauge, so looking for other options.

What have y'all done/seen?

I think the windshield frame mounted gauges look cool, but I've never had 'em.

by the windshield is the best option, i think in these rigs. anywhere down below and they get into passenger legroom.

So on the A pillar?

Didn't look like enough meat there to mount them well. I'd looked at that briefly a so was sitting in mine. Have to look for pics or a thread.

There is enough room but it is som much easier if there was not the windshield in the way. I plan on doing something in the glove box. Nothing really fits in there anyway ( I have no surround in there :) ).

Also no pic currently, but I'm putting a hood scoop with gauge mounts on to put the extra important gauges out on the hood where they're easier to see without taking eyes so far off the road.
